As part of the Horizon Europe STUDIES DIG project, Dr. Tiago Lapa da Silva, researcher at ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, is undertaking a research mobility at C.School, Cluj-Napoca. During his mobility, he joined the C.School team at the Summer School on Oral History and Storytelling for Children and Teenagers in Sighișoara, Romania, contributing to knowledge exchange and collaboration around innovative educational practices and youth engagement.
The summer school, organized within the RESTORY Horizon Europe project, funded by the European Commission and coordinated by Babeș-Bolyai University (BBU), brought together more than 30 children and young people to explore the recent past through the life stories of their families and local communities. Through interactive workshops, expert-led sessions, and collaborative activities, participants discovered the value of historical heritage and storytelling.
As one of the 20 partners of the RESTORY consortium, C.School was responsible for designing and facilitating the storytelling workshops and organizing the final exhibition, where participants presented the stories and creative work they developed throughout the week.
This experience highlighted the value of international collaboration, demonstrating how research mobility and European partnerships can enrich educational practice while empowering young people to connect with their heritage through storytelling.
