STUDIES-DIG in Luxembourg: Where Innovation Meets Culture
As part of the European STUDIES-DIG project, the Bulgarian research team participated in the 2nd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Education – Futures 2026, hosted by the Luxembourg School of Business in Luxembourg.
The Bulgarian researchers actively contributed to the conference program by presenting the latest research findings and ongoing work developed within the STUDIES-DIG project. Their participation strengthened the project’s international visibility, expanded academic and professional networks, and reinforced collaboration with leading researchers and institutions working in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, governance, and education.

About the Conference
Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming every sector of society, making international cooperation and interdisciplinary dialogue more important than ever. Against this backdrop, Futures 2026 brought together 160 delegates from 27 countries to explore the evolving impact of AI on education, business, governance, and society.
Hosted by the Luxembourg School of Business, the conference provided a vibrant international platform for academics, policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders to exchange knowledge, present innovative research, and establish new collaborations to advance the responsible development and application of artificial intelligence.
The event was organized in partnership with the University of California, Riverside (host of Futures 2027), ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, ITMA, ISCSP – Universidade de Lisboa, and EUonAIR. Publication opportunities with Springer and Taylor & Francis further underscored the conference’s strong academic profile and international reach.

The STUDIES-DIG project (Grant Agreement No. 101131544) is funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges program.
The project promotes international and interdisciplinary collaboration on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, governance, digital risks, and societal resilience through researcher mobility, knowledge exchange, and joint scientific research.
