Filipa Henriques Explores Digitalization in Education During Her Visit to UNWE
During her visit to the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), Filipa Henriques attended a lecture by Prof. Lyuben Boyanov with third-year Business Informatics students. The session turned into a lively discussion around three key questions she raised: digitalization, students’ experiences of school education, and their views on university education. Students shared their perspectives and expectations regarding the role of digital technologies in learning.
Chief Assistant Professor Ivona Velkova from the Department of Information Technologies and Communications supported the meeting. Filipa and Chief Assistant Professor Velkova also exchanged experiences and ideas about digital tools in teaching and ways to encourage student participation. Their conversations included a brainstorming session exploring opportunities to improve the learning environment.
Later, Filipa met with Daniel Zhelyazkov, a member of the Student Senate at UNWE. He offered a student perspective on digitalization at the university, sharing his experience with digital systems and the processes supporting students’ academic and administrative needs. Their discussion provided practical insights into how these technologies shape everyday university life.
