Moroccan Delegation from the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Tangier Strengthens Digital Cooperation Through the European Project STUDIES DIG
As part of the European project STUDIES DIG, the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Tangier (Morocco) took center stage during the official inauguration of the new academic year at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT).
Represented by Mrs. Chaibia Balbzioui, President, and Mrs. Hayat Less, Vice President, the Moroccan delegation highlighted Morocco’s commitment to advancing digital innovation, cybersecurity collaboration, and women’s leadership across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
A STRATEGIC VISIT SUPPORTING DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION GOALS
The participation of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Tangier underscored the essential role of women entrepreneurs in shaping the digital economy. As key contributors to STUDIES DIG, Mrs. Balbzioui and Mrs. Less presented the Association’s initiatives aimed at:
developing digital skills among women entrepreneurs,
fostering innovation-driven business ecosystems,
strengthening international collaboration in cybersecurity,
and building sustainable bridges between Moroccan and European institutions.
Their presence reinforced the project’s mission to expand cross-border cooperation that promotes technological excellence and inclusive digital leadership.
HIGH-LEVEL ENGAGEMENT AND DIPLOMATIC SUPPORT
The event featured distinguished guests, including H.E. Iliana Iotova, Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, and H.E. Zakia El Midaoui, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Bulgaria and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, who welcomed the delegation and emphasized the value of Moroccan–Bulgarian cooperation.
Ambassador El Midaoui commended the Association’s efforts and reiterated Morocco’s readiness to deepen academic, entrepreneurial, and technological partnerships under the STUDIES DIG framework.
BUILDING NEW AVENUES FOR COLLABORATION
During the session, the Moroccan delegation outlined several opportunities for future cooperation with Bulgarian universities and innovation-oriented institutions. These include joint training programs, exchange initiatives, digital entrepreneurship workshops, and collaborative cybersecurity research.
Their participation represented an important milestone in highlighting Morocco’s leadership in women’s entrepreneurship and advancing STUDIES DIG’s objectives across the Mediterranean.
